"Most of us are on a Collision Course for
- FINANCIAL DISASTER-
and we are in denial about it .... We lull ourselves to sleep at night thinking because we can meet the minimum payments this month that every thing is OK .... and we don't pay attention to where are we going to be 10 years from now .... or where are we going to be if and when we muster up the courage to retire?"
Are you 1 out of 4 Americans with no Net Worth?
Are you one of the 8 out of 10 Americans who will never be able to retire?
Are you always short of Money at the end of each month?
It's no wonder a good friend of mine has repeatedly said:
This statement by R.B. Brooke sums up the problem that far to many people face.
But wait a minute! ... Look what our government is doing...why they not only stepped in to take over AIG ..they have put together a plan to rescue our banks and financial institutions ....and of course we have a new financial stimulus package that is designed to help almost everyone...Right?....Well, as mentioned above many don't have the courage to take a hard look at their own financial status... so let's just take a brief look at our governments financial picture.
As of April 7, 2009 our National Debt is approximately $ 11 Trillion Dollars....
( $ 11,000,000,000,000.00 ---got the picture?)...Since about 1970 our Congress has spent more money than it has taken in...so we pay interest on that debt...in fiscal year 2008 our Government paid over $410 Billion dollars in interest payments...The current Fiscal Year total into March is over $ 168 Billion...Click here to see Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding
Maybe $ 11 trillion dollars and $ 410 billion dollars in a year is to much to fathom...so let's make it simpler, let's just look at the Federal spending in 2008 as it was about $ 3.1 trillion dollars which works out to about $ 10,300 per man, woman and child in the country...The internet is full of factual information and reports on this matter..just google "Federal Government Spending" or "Federal Budget" to name a few
Are you comfortable with Government planning for your Future?
Do you trust their plan for your retirement?
And are you Tired of having an Empty Wallet ?
Have you Had Enough? ...Probably so...
